Registered Psychotherapist
Sara Beck, MACP, RP
Sara is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She believes that communication is key to helping us understand our struggles and find a path through them. Her collaborative, strength-based approach draws on elements of CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and solution-focussed therapy.
Sara works with individuals navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, and other challenges. She also works with couples and people in non-traditional relationships, such as polyamorous groups, and is an LGBTQ+ ally. She has a strong belief in the dignity of all people, whatever their life story may be.
Sara holds degrees in psychology, education, journalism, and counselling psychology. She spent two years as a development worker in South Africa helping to document and preserve the stories of the struggle against apartheid, and she brings to her practice more than 15 years of experience as an adult educator.
