Walk and Talk Therapy
These therapy sessions are conducted outside while walking. The conversations of life, as we walk together, create a therapeutic alliance that cultivates positive change and development of solutions.
What about unpredictable Canadian weather? It is always the clients choice to make the “weather call.”
How fast will we walk? This is slow to moderate walking. It is not fast walking that can count as a cardio workout and is not a physically strenuous activity.
Where do we walk? We usually choose the walk by the Rideau Canal, which is beautiful, well-lit, and allows for a 50-minute session without many traffic lights.
When do we walk? You can choose a time available that suits your schedule.
Walk and Talk therapy sessions are currently available in Ottawa and Kingston with advance booking.
