Carly Crump is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Carly completed her MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, as well as completing an MSc in Neuroscience and a BSc in Neuroscience and Mental Health and, both from Carleton University. Her previous research focused on understanding the influence of genetics, trauma, and social support in the development of depression and resilience in adults. She provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and seniors. Carly has significant experience working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, life transition and adjustment stress and more. She strongly believes in implementing an integrative and multifaceted approach to healing, as she believes that one treatment does not fit all.
She places a strong emphasis on building the therapeutic relationship as she believes it is the foundation for positive outcomes and success in therapy. Carly uses an empathetic, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach, ensuring there is a trusting, safe and comfortable environment for all clients. She uses a cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, attachment-based and trauma focus when working with clients. She is also a Trauma Certified Therapist. Furthermore, she is passionate about community outreach, travel, exercise and using a collaborative approach for helping clients reach their full potential. Carly combines her love of science, mental health knowledge and building meaningful connections into her practice.
