Salima is a Registered Social Worker passionate about helping and empowering people to move through life’s challenges. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Algeria, a Bachelor’s degree in social work from University of Manitoba, and a Master’s degree in social work from University of Dalhousie.
Her years of experience in the mental health field have provided her with opportunities to provide counselling to all ages and demographics, including refugees and immigrants.
She values therapeutic relationships that are based in trust, understanding, respect, transparency, and collaboration. Her approach aims to create a non-judgemental space where clients feel safe and comfortable to express themselves. Salima believes in every clients’ strengths, abilities, and their capacity to build resilience and increase self-determination.
